A successful property investor in the Austin area for the past decade, Patrick Smith was consistently disappointed with the lack of communication and poor service he received from traditional real estate agents. “I knew I could do a better job,” says Patrick. So after nine years as an engineer in the high tech industry, Patrick became a licensed Realtor in 2005. “I got my start in real estate at a very early age, just by spending time with my dad,” Patrick remembers. After 20 years in the military, Patrick’s father retired to become one of the top-producing real estate agents in their hometown of Colorado Springs, Colorado. “Dad would always take me to home showings, and I would help him improve his investment properties.” Patrick followed in his father’s footsteps when he relocated to Austin in 2000.
